The Church of Christ in Durham, NC is a work that we have had the honor
of being a part of for the past three years. The congregation was started
by several families that were seeking to worship and serve in the way that
is taught in scripture. Since then they have grown and continue to grow.
There has been a purchase of land and there are plans to build in the future.
The church at Durham has been blessed to have strong leadership in their elders,
and have a number of deacons that faithfully carry out the work of the church
there. The Durham congregation is know for it�s stand for truth and bringing
in men that teach sound doctrine in gospel meeting and lectureships. There is
a large research hospital in the Durham area and the congregation helps many
families with housing and needs as they come to the area for medical help.
The congregation has a good cross section of all ages and does a great job of
helping those who wish to be involved in the work of the church.
James Jones is the minister of the congregation and is not afraid to proclaim
the gospel. He has spoken in many lectureships on the east coast. If you are
ever in the Durham area I know that they would love to meet you and have you be

Madisonville, Tennessee
Our second work in the states is Madisonville, TN. Madisonville is located
between Chattanooga and Knoxville. It is about a three and a half hour drive
from Meridianville. We have been working with Madisonville for a little over three
years. The church there does not have elders, but is moving in that direction.
The preacher in Madisonville is Kirby Hines. He has been there since we started working
with the church. Madisonville has experienced growth to the point that they have
added classrooms, and are now dealing with the problem of not enough space for every thing.
This is a wonderful problem for a church to have. A number of people from here have helped
with VBS and gospel meetings during the summer. The church at Madisonville would love
to have you come and visit anytime. It�s not that far and is located close to the
Smokey Mountains. It is a beautiful area and you would enjoy it very much. If you are in
the area please stop by. This has been and continues to be a great work for the church
at Meridianville to be involved in. Thank you so very much for all the support that you give
all the mission points that we are involved in.
Gaupiles, Costa Rica
A trip is made to this area each June to help the brethren with gospel meetings, VBS,
men's training, door knocking campaigns and most importantly teaching of the truth.
In May of 2006 monetary assistance was given to help secure the current property the Christians
in Gaupiles are using to worship. Continue to pray for the work here and for the success
of the spreading of the gospel in this area.
